World Gratitude Day: Part 2 (#MicroblogMonday)

Photo of me a few years ago taken by Roberto Kaplan (vision therapist). (I was obviously very happy, tickled pink, being photographed while being silly playing with my turquoise feather boa.)

Yesterday, Sunday September 21st was World Gratitude Day!

However, don't you think EVERY day should be gratitude day in terms of Law of Attraction (LOA)? See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_attraction_%28New_Thought%29 for details.

In terms of helping us get to that state, see the video below: simply titled "Happy", this song says it all! How can you NOT be/feel happy when you hear that song?! Even if you do not understand the words - here they are -
http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/pharrellwilliams/happy.html
, the rhythmic beat is so upbeat, uplifting, inspiring, and well, happy is it not? How about 24 hrs of it? ;) (http://24hoursofhappy.com/)

If you google the name of the song online, you will see my comments beneath as follows in relation to someone hating this song.

P.S. This post was inspired by two wonderful writers from India: thanks to Nabanita Dhar - http://nabanita-blacknwhite.blogspot.ca/2014/09/a-theory-and-some-gratitude.html#comment-form as well as Shailaja Vishwanath in relation to this being my first MicroBlog Monday: http://shailajav.wordpress.com/2014/09/22/write-about-what-microblogmonday/. ;)

  1. Hi Elly,
I love this song! I've seen it performed in so many languages, even in Persian, in which the singers/ performers were arrested for a time for making it! What a cool song to play on World Gratitude Day! Also, I didn't understand your comment "Microblog Mondays." Is this another group for shorter posts? Anyway, good for you for expanding!

    1. I SO agree. I have a hard time containing myself when I listen to music...my body naturally moves, even if I'm just bopping my head or tapping my foot. This one has me snap one or two fingers when I hear and dance/bop/tap all over! ;) And I guess you should know about a happy song with your name...do you know the "Lollipop" song? ;) <3

  5. That's a very cute picture of you Elly! Do you still have the feather boa? :)

I love that "Happy" video and often have the 24 hour website playing and I enjoy checking out the various time frames in it to see different versions of the video. Very unique!. The tune is stuck in my head :)

Gratitude has to be a habit, an attitude. :) It is the direct route to happiness, for me.

    Love and hugs!

    1. Thanks Vidya! :) Yes, I LOVE that picture too (and believe me, I don't like most of my photos!) ;) I wish I still had the feather boa...I had a collection of colours that I used for Halloween and then gave it away...wished I didn't. Cool 24-hour video...I wished they had typecast me in it...you should see me dance! I can be like a spring chicken! ;) <3

  10. I love your photo, Elly, you look so happy you make all those around you smile! This song is not my favorite Happy Song. I would choose Walking on Sunshine - that is when I really let go! HUGS <3
